An artist GMAT has had their eye on for awhile is Nashville-based alternative rock singer morgxn, who has opened for the likes of Pheobe Ryan and DREAMERS, and is now gaining attention for his catchy beats, soul inspired vocals, and intriguing lyrics. This updated re-release of the morgxn-penned song off of his debut album "Vital", now features a collaboration with Walk The Moon lead singer Nick Petricca. The two friends performed onstage together at Lollapalooza in August, and have taken to the studio for a proper duet. The two vocalists really mesh well together. Petricca sounds as "Walk-The-Moon-ish" and infectious as always, and morgxn brings in a true alt rock style of vocals. The track has kind of a Sir Sly meets Finish Ticket vibe, being very bass oriented and bold, making it certainly upbeat and catchy. Lyrically, "Home" is about a sense of community in a place less likely to find it and wanting to go back there to one's home. Certainly a bittersweet, yet positive message. The chorus is for sure to get stuck in your head, as well as the rest of morgxn's debut record. Be sure to check this song out- especially if you're a Walk The Moon fan or just like finding new alternative artists!
